One step closer

Carmen and Marilyn had a 3 and half hour appointment at U of M this morning (before dialysis) for a kidney transplant evaluation! We are all so excited to be heading in the direction of a kidney transplant for Carmen. Carmen's health has been steadily improving since July and the doctors and staff here at U of M are thrilled at her progress! Carmen is not on the kidney transplant list yet... however we anticipate she will be listed soon. Some of the items needing to be checked or performed include her immunization schedule, an EKG, dental work, continued medication, renel diet and fluid adherance and etc... We look forward to the day we answer the phone and hear, "Hurry, hurry! A matched kidney has arrived!"
